Here is another perspective. If stacked on top of one another, they would be as tall as a 667 story building.
If from sea level, they would stack high enough to top the tallest building in Downtown Denver.
If sold with a cabinet and power supply, Josef Rabinowitz would be retired. "
"Ohmigod! I'm reminded of when I worked for Heath Kline at Priority One Electronics in Chatsworth...and before that for Galaxy Computers in Woodland Hills when the Commodore 64 was introduced! We thought it huge compared to the Timex Sinclair...."
"We both have been into computers since 1970's & currently own 6 OSBORNE's in working condition. Although we use DOS now, we miss cpm & how actually FAST it was compared to Windows. We miss dBase. Append as well instead of Access now. We still have data on 5 1/4" discs we need to put into the dos machines we use now.

1986 Panasonic Exec Partner portable This baby was HUGE! Has to weigh in at 35 pounds. Has a plasma screen and built-in printer on the back. This is a classic. Nobody could possibly carry this computer around
The Corona Portable PC Model #PPC400-12 was introduced in 1984. 16-bit system using 8088 cpu operating at 3.77 MHz, 256Kb RAM, IBM XT compatible hard drive controller, RS232C port, parallel and (4) IBM compatible expansion slots. Includes DOS 2.11 and PC Tutor, 10Mb hard drive and dual floppy disk drives. Video has 16x16 pixel characters and Super-Resolution 640x400 pixel graphics. Twice resolution on IBM PC. They also made Desktop version called PC-400. Heavy at almost 40 pounds. The Model PPC-1 has 128Kb RAM and no hard drive.
The Commodore C16 was not a huge success when it was introduced in 1984. In fact this computer was a giveaway for attending a sale program offering new condo units. They had to give them away. It was not compatible to the C64, and had only 16Kb of RAM plus the sound was not as good as the C64. Features: 7501 cpu operating at 1.76 Mhz, 16Kb RAM (expandable up to 64Kb), 32 Kb ROM (Operating system). Text Display: 40 x 25 Characters, Graphics: 320 x 200 Pixels with 121 colors, 2 channel, mono sound, Video/Audio/HR Interfaces and Commodore serial port, 2 joystick ports, Cassette, Cartridge Expansion slot and 66 keys (4 Function keys) Keyboard.
Rockwell Model AIM-65 (Advanced Interactive Microcomputer) single-board computer introduced in 1976 and produced until 1980. Introductory price was $375 with 1K of RAM (expandable to 4K). Features: 6502 cpu operating at 1Mhz,plus 4K ROM and (5) additional sockets to add more ROM (on one of our systems we have the original ROM set for FORTH). OS: "ROM Monitor" and BASIC, PASCAL, FORTH and assembler/editor were available. Storage required external tape drive or TTY/paper tape interface. Video display: 1 line LED display. Current Loop I/O. AIM-65 had onboard thermal printer (rare in its day). The machine was used for a variety embedded type control applications such as Instrument controller, Navigation controller, Data logger, Power line monitor, Sprinkler controller, Energy monitor, Alarm logger, Data acquisition, Transformer or motor controller, Solar heating controller and Security monitor. The AIM-65 was also used for low volume and small production applications as it was low-cost, easy to use and incorporated more functionality than other computers at the time. This unit is complete with manuals and has one set of FORTH ROM’s. Formerly used by Ray Gawronski at Rockwell now donated to our museum. Note: This item is no longer part of our collection as it has been sent to a new PC museum for display.
Introduced in 1980 as one of the first BASIC programmable pocket computers. Complete with micro-printer (needle technology) and cassette interface model CE-122 all in original carrying case. Same as the Tandy TRS80 PC-1 Features: 24-digit (1 line of 24 characters) alphanumeric dot matrix LCD display, with yellow filter. Functions as calculator and BASIC programmable computer. (2) CPUs: SC43177 and SC43178 CMOS/LSI chips. 1,920 bytes RAM (total). Retail Price $229.00
